Comet 17/P Holmes in OUTBURST!

9:00 PM Octber 24th, 2007 (Created with Starry Night Pro)
This comet is in super outburst, having brightened by many magnitudes on the night of October 24.
As of 11:00 MDT, October 24 it is in Persius at magnitude 2.8 and brightening!

The image above is by Jim Tubbs, taken about 10:30 P.M. using an 8" Meade LX200GPS
and a Meade DSI. We also shot 400 images of the comet through the Herrett Telescope
and hope to have image(s) available soon.
