I recently mentioned to someone that not using Internet Explorer to browse the web reduced your exposure to malware by 75%. It turns out I was wrong. A recent experiment at the University of Washington measured actual infections of unpatched browsers and found IE was 21 TIMES more likely to be infected as Firefox.
